From here you can direct the program to any games executable to automatically install Reshade SweetFX for the selected game.
Once you've got the Injector extracted, open up the folder and run ReShade Setup.exe from here, press the Select a Game button with the Autodectect box checked underneath. We are going to use it to correct the lense distortion and aspect ratio of the games we are using with Tridef3DĪfter you've downloaded the compressed Reshade SweetFX Injector from the link above, extract it anywhere you wish. This is a simple version of the SweetFX injector you may be familiar with that adds many post-processing graphical options to games that may not support them natively. Note: If you're having problems getting games to open up on the HDK try changing your display settings to mirror mode, or set the HDK to be the primary monitor before you open a game through Tridef 3D.
At this point, if you simply plugged in your HDK and ran it in mirrored mode you could play any game working with Tridef3D with no head tracking, but you will notice that most games will play at the incorrect aspect ratio and you will lose much of the screen because of the limited FOV and lense distortion from the HDK. Once you've added your games, simply run them through Tridef3D and they should start up in SBS 3D mode. Also, a quick google search might yield the existence of user profiles people have made for unsupported games.Ģ.
**Note:**Games that aren't directly supported by the program can use the generic profile option by selecting the link beneath the game profile list. The program will scan for games automatically, but you can also manually add games by browsing for any games executable. I went ahead and bought it though after I got it working with so many games.Īfter you've downloaded and installed Tridef3D, add a game by simply selecting the add game option from the game drop down menu at the top of the program.

I would recommend downloading the 14 day trial to see if it works well enough for you to buy it, as the program does cost $40. Tridef3D is the program that actually requires the least bit of tweaking. Opentrack: This is an optional program to use with FreePIE that translates the HDK head tracking into Opentrack commands which works natively in some games like Project Cars. You will also need the FreePIE OSVR Plugin. Reshade SweetFX Injector: This is a version of SweetFX that helps correct the aspect ratio and lense distortion you experience in many games using only VireIO Perception or Tridef3DįreePIE: This is the program we will use to gain headtracking while using Tridef3D. Tridef3d: This is the program that will be doing the work translating games into stereoscopic 3D.

There are not a whole lot of tutorials yet so I figured I'd write up a simple guide for how I got these games working with the HDK.ĭownloads: There are a few programs you will need to download in order to get started. Not even a week later I have now gotten the HDK to work with many different titles using Tridef 3D and FreePIE. My first couple days with the headset were frustrating, to say the least, as I tried and failed many times trying to get it to work with various games. I got my HDK this last week for my birthday and have to say I'm quite impressed with it.
